Experience has shown that preparation or revision of library and/or information policies are difficult without assessment of the present performance and infrastructure of the sector and an understanding and analysis of the realistic and achievable financial capability towards libraries.
NIDA responds to requests for guidance and assistance in these fields. This has included preparation of model frameworks available for adaptation.

Adaptation and implementation needs to be planned and executed within local context. NIDA is able to put you in touch with colleagues who are in the process of or have already completed their own sector assessment and/or financial analysis in order to build on good practice.
